Mission statement

Windham Christian Academy exists to glorify God by providing a quality, Christ-centered education that equips students in becoming all that God has created them to be.

OUR Core Values

COMMUNITY

We work together in community by learning how to interact with others in a positive manner. We think of others first, sincerely pray for one another, listen to and respect each other, and take a sincere interest in learning about those in our community.  We are inclusive and look out for the peer playing alone.  We all share the common goal of unity, growth, love, and excellence.

GROWTH

We acknowledge the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.  In each of these three areas, we are open to learning new things for our growth and betterment.  We receive coaching along the way which highlights the progress we have made and gives us opportunity to reflect. We view mistakes as learning opportunities meant to stretch us and look for ways to creatively problem solve.  We look up to and emulate examples of spiritually sound, physically fit, and mentally healthy lifestyles.  Growth never stops, no matter how old we get.
We love others with compassion and empathy, understanding that all people are created in the image of God and are loved by Him.  We learn how to communicate in compassionate, loving, and humble ways when others disagree with us while still holding firm to our values and beliefs.  This compassionate love spills out into service for others, despite any inconvenience it may cause, as we are in the mindset that we are the hands and feet of Christ, doing the work he has called us to do in our school, local community, and global world.

COMPASSIONATE LOVE

EXCELLENCE AND INTEGRITY

We hold students accountable for their school work, deeds, and actions, teaching them that they need to own their choices and do the right thing even when no one is watching. Clear expectations are presented and high standards held.  We examine our motives for what we do and use the Bible as the overall standard in our choices as we always present our best before God.  Good enough is not enough, we strive for our very best.
