Faculty & Staff

Jaclyn Sands

Principal

Mrs. Sands brings fresh vision and ideas to her new role as principal of Windham Christian Academy.  She has taught at an elementary level, at a middle school level, and at the high school level as well.  This year is her fifth year as a faculty member at Windham Christian Academy.  Mrs. Sands has two beautiful children who attend the school.  She and her family are faithful attenders of Windham Assembly of God.

Angie Homer

Administrative Assistant

Anne Angell

Bookkeeper

Mrs. Angell is a long time member of the WCA staff and over the years has served the school in many different capacities. Beginning in 1992, she was the Art teacher for the lower elementary grades and shortly thereafter joined the administrative staff as the School Secretary having brought with her many years of experience in the banking and accounting fields.  Later, her position grew to Office Manager as well as the school Bookkeeper. Recently, Anne has moved to working part time in the office, continuing as the Bookkeeper and is semi-retired.

Anne and her husband Ed have two adult daughters who both attended WCA from Kindergarten through 12th grade! She and her husband attend Windham Assembly of God.

Over the years Anne has seen WCA grow and change, but there are some things that remain and those are Windham Christian's commitment to provide excellence in education, a dedication to the community, and honoring the Lord by leading its students to a lifelong journey of loving God and living for Him.

Her favorite verse in its simplicity is, “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10 because this always brings her back to remembering His mighty omniscience and our ultimate dependency on a loving and gracious God.

She was an Assistant Teacher at a music based Preschool for 9 years.  She has been teaching Classroom and Instrumental Music at WCA since 2001 and PreKindergarten since 2011.

Maureen and her husband Michael have 4 children who have all attended WCA since Kindergarten. Renee graduated in 2014, Noah in 2017, Elijah and Anna are current students at WCA.

Lucy Kindred

Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Kindred is a 1988 graduate of Windham High School. Growing up in a Christian home, she attended church, youth groups, and Bible studies. The summer before her senior year, she went with Teen Missions to England and served 2 months with a work team.  Following high school, she attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for two years, majoring in Education/Missions.

After returning to Maine, she attended New England Bible College where she met her husband. They celebrated 25 years this Christmas. He has served as Pastor of a Baptist Church for 17 years and together they have raised 3 children. The Kindreds also have a son here at WCA. When the older children were growing up, they also attended Christian school where Lucy would teach off and on.

She is thrilled to be part of this team and excited to see how God can use her.

Mrs. Willard is a true Mainer. Born and raised in Maine, she attended public schools and the University of Maine at Farmington where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Children's Literature. Mrs. Willard has also studied at Valley Forge Christian College, UMPI, and USM.

Mrs. Willard has taught PreK through 8th grade since she began her professional career in 1990. She has two daughters who both attend Windham Christian Academy. She is member of Hope Fellowhip Assembly of God in Windham. Besides teaching, Becky also enjoys hiking, camping, skiing and spending time with her family.

Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 '"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."'

Mrs. Willard is a Maine Certified Teacher.

Susan Hagerstrom

5th & 6th Grade

Mrs. Hagerstrom is a veteran teacher having taught 3rd and 4th grades at WCA back in the late 1980’s.  She then taught 5th-6th at OVCS, from there moving on to directing an adult education program in New Hampshire.  Last year she had the pleasure of returning to the classroom, teaching 3rd grade in Fryeburg.

In her free time she enjoys crafts of all kinds especially canvas painting, cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with those I love.  She recently returned from a summer spent helping an orphanage in Uganda.

A certified educator, Mrs. Hagerstrom brings her experience, creativity, and love of ministering to others to the classroom.

Rick Hagerstrom

Director of Middle School Education

Mr. Hagerstrom has been teaching since 1983.  After 10 years as a special needs teacher, "Mr. H" took his first job in Christian education as a middle school teacher and Head Master of Ossipee Valley Christian School. In 2008, he accepted his current position as the Director of Middle School Education at WCA.

Rick and his wife, Sue, have three daughters and their family has an evangelistic ministry called the Supreme Court Jesters, through which they use juggling and illusions to share the Gospel (www.supremecourtjesters.org). In his free time, Mr. H likes to cross country ski, read, play cribbage and imagine things the way they should be.

Natalee Stotz

Director of High School Education

Mrs. Stotz attended Philadelphia Biblical University where she received her degree in Bible and Secondary Education with a concentration in History.  She has always been an avid reader and an aspiring writer, and previously taught middle school English. She discovered then that English her true passion. Natalee taught for seven years in Christian schools in New Hampshire,  a year working with Coastlands Consultants as a teacher and mentor, and 5 years teaching in Massachusetts where she met her husband, John.  Fortunately for us, she moved to Maine to be closer to family.

In her own words: My mission as an educator is two fold.  I believe God has called me to mentor teens and challenge them to take ownership of their faith, and I also desire to help my students become life long learners, readers and writers.

Favorite Bible Verses:  Colossians 2:6-7, "Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude."

David Earle

Math

Mr. Earle has been teaching at Windham Christian Academy since 1995.  He graduated from Evangel College in Springfield Missouri with a Bachelors in Mathematics, a concentration in Biblical Studies and a minor in Psychology. Dave and his wife have four grown children who all attended Windham Christian Academy.

In his own words: When a teaching opportunity opened up at WCA, I was very interested in applying.  I have not regretted that choice.  Teaching at WCA involves more than just conveying academic information.  It involves daily modeling of Christian behavior and mentoring students whether on the sports field, in the classroom or even off the school premises.  In other words, Christian education is much more than adding a Bible course to the curriculum. I feel both blessed and honored to have the opportunity to impact the lives of those who are the next generation of the Church.  Although I have a number of favorite Bible verses, the one that comes to mind is from 1 Corinthians 13:12 - 'For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:  now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.'  If, in the various subjects I teach, I can help my students to see through that "glass" just a little more clearly so that their hope in Christ and eternity is solid, then I have accomplished much of what I have been called to do.
